Relief From Heatwave In North India Soon! Temperature Likely To Dip Down From May 29

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that there might be some relief in the heatwave conditions from May 29. Many places in North India recorded temperatures over 45 degrees celsius.

New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that there might be some relief from May 29 in the prevailing heatwave situation in North India. Temperatures have been steadily climbing and in some places have crossed 45 degrees Celsius. The IMD has said that Western disturbance and an east-west trough may bring rain and thundershower and temperatures might recede in North India. They have also added that there might be a substantial reduction of heatwave conditions from 29th May. A tweet by IMD says ‘Under favourable wind conditions over parts of central India, heatwave conditions also likely to reduce from these areas from 29th May.’ Temperatures are soaring in many places in northern India and yesterday Churu in Rajasthan became the hottest place in the world with 50 degrees Celsius. Kota and Jaisalmer also recorded temperature beyond 45 degrees celsius. According to reports severe heatwave conditions that were experienced in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Haryana today will reduce from tomorrow. Reports say that Varanasi which also recorded a temperature of 46 degrees may some relief in the coming days and so will Ludhiana where the mercury soared to 44 degrees. Temperatures have also been on the rise in Himachal Pradesh and Simla has been 3-4 degrees above normal.
