On Friday morning, Allu Arjun was picked up from his house in Jubilee Hills by a police team. He was taken into custody soon after he returned from Delhi after attending the success meet of 'Pushpa 2'. He was taken to Chikkadpally police station.
His father Allu Arvind and actor brother Allu Sirish soon arrived at the police station. His fans also gathered in front of the Chikkadpally station.
For two hours, Deputy Commissioner of Police Akanksh Yadav and his team questioned Allu Arjun. The police also earlier arrested two theater staff members and its owner.
On December 11, Allu Arjun had moved a petition in Telangana High Court seeking to quash the FIR against him.
The action was initiated against Allu Arjun based on a complaint by the husband of the victim wherein he held Allu Arjun and the theatre management responsible for her death. The police booked a case under sections of culpable homicide not amounting to murder and another section of BNS Act.
However, the victim's husband has now decided to get back his complaint and said that the actor was not responsible for the stampede, according to a report on One India.
Earlier, Allu Arjun also provided Rs 25 lakh assistance to the family of the deceased on December 6. He also said that he was deeply heartbroken by the incident and promised all possible help and support to the family of the victim.
