Haryana: 4 From UP Killed As Speeding Pickup Van Rams Into Tractor-Trolley In Sonipat
The driver of the the Bolero pickup lost control and rammed into a tractor-trolley moving ahead of it. The deceased were from UP.
Four persons died in Haryana's Sonipat district Wednesday after the vehicle in which they were travelling hit a tractor-trolley moving ahead of it. The Bolero pickup was being driven at high speed when the driver lost control and rammed into the tractor-trolley on National Highway 44 near Garhi Kalan Gannaur village, ABP News sources said.
The tractor-trolley was said to have been laden with paddy bags. Three women and one man in the Bolero died on the spot while six others were seriously injured in the accident. They were all from Uttar Pradesh.
The police have taken the bodies into custody and sent them to the local civil hospital for a post-mortem.
According to a report in The Tribune, the deceased have been identified as Sandeep of Mathura, Pooja and sisters Dulari and Satbiri of Amroha in UP. The injured are Ankit, Nishu, Sulpat and Shama of Amroha and Sonu of Mathura in UP.
Another accident on NH-44 was reported on Monday when a car rammed into a canter near Bahalgarh flyover. The driver of the car and the cleaner of the canter lost their life in the collision, while another person travelling in the car sustained injuries, according to local media reports.
During investigation, the police found that the cleaner, identified as Ratan Singh from Himachal Pradesh, was changing a tyre of the canter when the car hit the vehicle from behind. The reports said a case has been registered against the driver of the canter for alleged negligence.
