Gujarat: BJP To Select Poll Candidates After PM Modi's Visit To State From Oct 30 To Nov 1
Following the Prime Minister's visit to Gujarat, the Bhartiya Janata Party will begin the process of selecting candidates. PM Modi will visit poll-bound Gujarat from October 30 to November 1.
The BJP will finalise the candidate selection process on November 2. The marathon meeting will take place from November 2 to November 7. A series of meetings will be held at the BJP's Kamalam state office.
The State Parliamentary Board is likely to meet from November 4 to 7. The Parliamentary Board will meet at the Chief Minister's house.
Each seat on the State Parliamentary Board will be filled by a panel of three candidates. The State Parliamentary Board will make recommendations to the National Parliamentary Board for the final selection of candidates.
PM Modi On A Visit To Gujarat From Oct 30 to Nov 1:
PM Modi will first visit the Leprosy Ground in Vadodara, where he will lay the groundwork for the C-295 transport aircraft manufacturing facility. Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) will run the plant in collaboration with and with technology transfer from Airbus. The 56 C-295 aircraft ordered will replace the Indian Air Force's ageing Avro aircraft (IAF).
On the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, which commemorates Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary, PM Modi will pay floral tributes to him at the Statue of Unity on October 31. PM Modi will also take part in the Unity Day procession, which begins at 8:15 a.m. on the Parade Ground.

He will travel to Ahmedabad to lay the groundwork for several projects and will spend the night in Gandhinagar. On the same day, the PM is expected to pay a visit to his mother Hira ba in Gandhinagar.
On the last day of his Gujarat visit, November 1, PM Modi will address the Gujarat BJP workers from the 182 assembly seats at Mahatma Mandir.
On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate two vital railway lines in poll-bound Gujarat to the country, news agency PTI reported.
This is the Asarva (Ahmedabad)-Himmatnaga-Udaipur Gauge Converted Line segment, as well as the Lunidhar-Jetalsar Gauge Converted Line portion. The entire 299-kilometer stretch of the Ahmedabad (Asarva) Himmatnagar Udaipur portion cost Rs 2,482.38 crore. Ahmedabad, Shamlaji Road, Himmatnagar, Nandol Dahegam, Dungarpur, Prantij, and Udaipur are major stations on this stretch, PTI reported.
