Good news for all customers of the State Bank of India (SBI), especially those who are vehicle owners as the bank is giving away free up to 5 litres of free petrol.

New Delhi: Good news for all customers of the State Bank of India (SBI), especially those who are vehicle owners as the bank is giving away free up to 5 litres of free petrol. In a recent announcement, country’s largest bank has announced a new scheme where SBI customers can drive to any of Indian Oil outlets with BHIM SBI Pay application installed on their phones and get up to 5 litres of petrol for FREE! However, the bank also stated that the offer is valid till November 23, 2018 and will be available for first 10,000 customers every day. Prices of both petrol and diesel have recently seen a massive dip after witnessing a hike of up to Rs 90 per litre in various parts of Mumbai. Currently it is being sold at Rs 82.04 per litre in Mumbai and Rs 76.52 in the national capital. SBI customers can avail this offer simply by following these steps: 1. Drive to any Indian Oil fuel station and by paying through BHIM-UPI, i.e. BHIM SBI Pay application from your smartphone. The offer is valid on transactions with a minimum value of Rs 100 2. Send sms in a specified format to 9222222084: <UPI Reference No. (12-Digit)> <DDMM>. DDMM is the actual date of card payment transaction 3. Lucky customers will be eligible for free petrol (up to 5 litres) and would be contacted by back-end operating system for further processing The bank, however, in its offering has also mentioned various terms and conditions for availing the offer and all customers are advised to read it before participating in the scheme. The terms and conditions can be checked by visiting the official website of SBI. On Monday, petrol prices touched its lowest level since the past 3 months. The relentless hike in petrol and diesel prices across the country was on the back of increasing global crude oil prices and weakening of Indian currency against the US dollar. Here are some important points to keep in mind before participating in the BHIM SBI Pay offer on fuel purchase: i. The BHIM SBI Pay offer on petrol is open of all citizens of the country above the age of 18 residing in the country, said the bank. ii. This offer is applicable for purchase of fuels at any Indian Oil Corporation Ltd and Assam Oil division retail outlets only, it noted. iii. One mobile number will be eligible for receiving cashbacks for maximum two times during the offer period and the maximum value will be Rs. 400. This amount can get you 5 litres of petrol at Goa, said the bank. iv. Only those customers who will send proper SMS syntax within 7 (including the day of transaction) days of the actual payment for purchase of fuel from Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) retail outlet will be eligible for participating in the campaign. v. One customer can make multiple entries for repeat purchases however each SMS should have a separate approval code or UPI reference number. Multiple entries using the same approval code or UPI reference number will be considered invalid, the bank mentioned. vi. Winners will be declared normally within two weeks of the close of the offer or within such period as the corporation may deem fit. vii. All statutory levies including taxes, duties etc., applicable on the prizes would have to be borne by the prize winners, said the lender.
