Gandhi Jayanti: 36-Hour Non-Stop Assembly Session In UP To Pay Tribute To Bapu
Before the beginning of the session, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave special directions to party MLAs for the non-stop session and also briefed them on the topics they have to discuss upon.
New Delhi: In an exceptional way to remember Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary, a special 36-hour long session was begun on Wednesday in Uttar Pradesh Assembly, in which marathon discussion will take place on development goals on October 2 and October 3.
"Special assembly session has been called to discuss the 16 points related to the development of the state. The discussion will be held on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The discussion will go on for 36 hours which will begin on October 2 at 11 am," state Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

Chief minister Yogi Adityanath called the special session of the assembly to deliberate and discuss a 17-point charter of the agenda of the United Nations General Assembly sustainable development. India is a signatory in the 17-point charter.
CM is also looking forward to creating record by the two-day session which is to be a non-stop day and night session.
