Fuel prices continue to rise: Petrol and diesel get more expensive today

The rates are even higher in the financial capital of the country, Mumbai; where the rate of petrol and diesel are Rs 86.91 and Rs 75.96 per litre respectively. Earlier the cost of petrol in Mumbai as on Tuesday and Wednesday was Rs86.72 per litres and cost of diesel was Rs 75.24 per litre.

New Delhi: After a day long relief from consistently increasing petrol and diesel prices; the rates have once again shot up on Thursday, with the price of Petrol and Diesel in Delhi touching Rs 79.51 and Rs 71.55 per litre. The fuel prices on Tuesday and Wednesday in the national capital were Rs 79.31 rupee/ litre for Petrol and Rs 71.34/ litre for diesel. The rates are even higher in the financial capital of the country, Mumbai; where the rate of petrol and diesel are Rs 86.91 and Rs 75.96 per litre respectively. Earlier the cost of petrol in Mumbai on Tuesday and Wednesday were Rs86.72 per litres and cost of diesel was Rs 75.24 per litre. The rise in diesel prices is likely to impact the prices of goods, as diesel is used in transporting goods related to farming and food. The opposition has been continuously taking jibes at the centre over ever increasing fuel prices in the country. The parties are reminding Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janta Party of the tall promises made by them. Taking on PM, Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala had tweeted that the increase in prices of basic necessities has ruined the budget of every Indian. He said that “The people will never forgive Modi government for the loot and will give befitting reply in the forthcoming elections”.
