Delhi: 9-Year-Old Girl Among Four Dead After Old Building Collapses In Bawana
The incident, which took place in Bawana's JJ Colony, was reported at 2.48 pm and four fire tenders were dispatched to the scene.
New Delhi: Four dead bodies have been recovered after a four-storey building collapsed on Friday in the national capital's Bawana area, said Delhi Police, adding at least three out of six people feared to be trapped under the debris have been rescued.
According to authorities, the deceased has been identified as Rukaiya Khatun, Shahzad, Afrina (9) and Danish.
According to reports, an ancient structure fell in the national capital's JJ community in Bawana, news agency ANI reported.
"The search operation is still underway," said Delhi Police.

Two ladies, Fatima and Shahnaaz, both JJ Colony residents, were rescued and taken to the hospital. "Both of them are out of danger," a police officer informed news agency IANS.
According to Delhi Fire Services chief Atul Garg, the incident was reported at 2.48 pm and four fire tenders were dispatched to the scene.
Brijender Kumar Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer North), stated the collapsed structure is part of the Rajiv Ratan Aawas Yojana, which has 300-400 units.
"Immediately three JCBs, one Hydra and two ambulances were rushed to the spot and the rescue operation was started," Yadav was quoted by IANS in its report.
In a similar incident, on Thursday, a piece of the roof of the sixth storey of the D Tower of the Chintels Paradiso housing complex in Gurugram's Sector 109 fell, killing a lady and trapping two persons beneath the rubble.
