'First PM To Cry Instead Of...': Priyanka Tells PM Modi To 'Learn From Rahul Gandhi'

Priyanka Gandhi stated: “I am seeing such a PM for the first time, who comes in front of you and cries that he was being abused. Rather than hearing your grievances, he narrates his woes.”

Being on the defensive following AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge's comment that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was a "poisonous snake," the Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Sunday attacked Modi, claiming that he was the first prime minister to "cry" in front of the people. Speaking at a rally at Jamakhandi in Bagalkot district, Priyanka Gandhi stated: “I am seeing such a PM for the first time, who comes in front of you and cries that he was being abused. Rather than hearing your grievances, he narrates his woes.”

"Someone in PM Modi's office has compiled a list that is not about people's problems." That list represents the number of times Modi has been abused. At the very least, the list is limited to one page. Look at the insults they (BJP officials) have flung at my family, and if we start creating lists, we'll have to publish book after book after book," she said.

She further added that PM Modi should take courage from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who is willing to endure "not only abuse but bullets for the country."

"Don't be afraid Modi ji; this is public life, and one must accept such things. One must have courage and move forward," she stated, adding, "Now that I'm talking to you, let me tell you something else that will be beneficial: listen to the voice of the people."

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's remarks come after Modi slammed the Congress over Kharge's 'poisonous snake' statement during a series of rallies in poll-bound Karnataka on Saturday and Sunday.
