This incident took place earlier on June 21 at the Covid-19 vaccination centre set up at a school in Chhapra town’s Bahrampur Imambara area.
The victim named Azhar Hussain, who was unaware of the goof-up by the nurse, came to know about this when one of his friends accompanying him to the vaccination centre uploaded the vaccination clip on social media.
The errant nurse has reportedly been issued a show-cause notice by the district administration for her callous act and removed from duty.
The concerned authorities have pressed into damage control mode and asked the man to get the vaccine dose on any day he chooses.
The nurse has been heavily criticized on social media for her blooper amid concerns across the country with regard to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav launched a blistering attack on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over the incident and said “no work can be done in Bihar” without scam.
The former deputy chief minister, who also trained his guns on the state’s health department, alleged there is corruption in all departments including health, education and road construction.
Earlier on Thursday, Bihar reported 212 new Covid-19 cases, taking the toll in the state to over seven lakh.
