Even Children Don't Repeat Mistakes...: PM Modi Pulls Up BJP MPs Over Low Parliament Attendance

According to PTI, the prime minister made the remarks during the BJP parliamentary party gathering at the Ambedkar International Centre.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasised the importance of party MPs' presence in Parliament on Tuesday, adding that if they do not alter themselves, there may be "changes" in the future.

'Children Are Repeatedly Reminded Of A Problem, They Don't Repeat It'

On the topic of attendance, the prime minister stated that party MPs should routinely attend Parliamentary sessions and noted that when children are repeatedly reminded of a problem, they do not repeat it.

According to PTI sources, the prime minister advised MPs to adapt themselves or else change would come with time.

Modi has already expressed concern over BJP MPs' inadequate attendance.

'Invite District And Mandal Presidents For Tea And Connect With Them'

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi shared details of the meeting, which was conducted outside the Parliament premises for the first time, saying the prime minister instructed party MPs that they should all organise sporting events in their individual areas. 

During the meeting, BJP President J P Nadda instructed party MPs to invite district presidents and Mandal presidents from their respective constituencies to tea and connect with them.

Similarly, on December 14, the prime minister would convene district presidents from his constituency of Varanasi.

At the commencement of the conference, tribal MPs, including Union Minister Arjun Munda, congratulated Prime Minister Modi for declaring Birsa Munda's birthday "Jan Jatiya Diwas."

A book containing the efforts of several ministers on the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav was also presented to BJP legislators.
