Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat on Friday launched a veiled attack at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his remarks during the US visit and said that those who humiliate the country abroad are the enemies of the country. Without taking the former Congress chief’s name, Bhagwat said, “'Those who humiliate India abroad are the enemies of the country’’ Bhagwat participated in the celebrations organised by the Shiv Rajyabhishek Sohala Committee in Nagpur In Maharashtra on the occasion of the 350th anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's coronation, as reported by the news agency ANI.

On the completion of 350 years of the coronation of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, various cultural programs have been organised in Maharashtra’s Raigad district from June 1 and the inauguration will be held on Friday, June 2 at 8.30 am.

A program has been organised on the premises of Raigarh Fort on Tuesday, June 6 at 8.30 am. Various programs have been organised in Raigad’s Pachad village from June 1 to 6.

Earlier, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju also lashed out at Rahul Gandhi for his "completely secular" remarks for the Indian Muslim League party stating that it was "extremely unfortunate" that some people in the country "still consider the person who supports the Muslim League as Secular," as quoted by ANI. Rijiju also asked how Mohammad Ali Jinnah's Muslim League which was "responsible" for India's partition on religious lines be a secular party.

The Indian Union Muslim League, is an ally of the Congress-led UDF in Kerala. Rahul Gandhi represented Wayanad in the Lok Sabha before being disqualified from Parliament.

Responding to a question on Congress' alliance with the Muslim League during his interaction at the National Press Club in Washington DC, Rahul Gandhi said, "Muslim League is a completely secular party. There is nothing non-secular about Muslim League. I think the person (who sent the question) has not studied the Muslim League." Gandhi is currently on a visit to the US.
