Security Forces Engage In Fierce Gun Battle With Terrorists As Encounter Underway In J-K’s Kulgam

Security Forces were engaged in an intense gunfight with terrorists as an encounter broke out in Wanpora area in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district in the wee hours of Saturday. The encounter broke out after the forces got intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area. As per reports, the joint operation team of Rashtriya Rifles, state police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel have engaged the terrorists in an intense gun battle at the Wanpora area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam, they added. A police spokesperson said the encounter is underway and that a couple of militants trapped. The encounter in Kulgam comes days after two terrorists were killed in Manzgam area of the Kulgam district. More details are awaited ..
