New Delhi: Election strategist Prashant Kishor will join the Janata Dal (United) today in Patna. He will be inducted by the party’s national president and Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday at 11 am. It has been reported that the political consultant is likely to entrust the key responsibility of finalising the JD(U)’s seat-sharing arrangement with the BJP. The 41-year-old former UN official shares a close personal equation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah. Kishor formulated election strategy for PM Modi in the 2014 elections. He had also worked with Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and Congress party. After Uttar Pradesh elections he took up the assignment with YSR Congress party's Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy as well as he had made a commitment earlier. However, earlier last week, Kishore had said that he would not be involved in the 2019 elections as he wants to go back to the grassroots. He said he had worked enough with leaders and denied media reports that he is joining politics. The news of him joing the JDU  comes a week after he interacted with the students of Indian School of Business (ISB) in Hyderabad earlier this month, where he had said for last two years he wanted to leave this domain but wanted to leave his organisation IPAC in safe hands before taking the decision.
