The incident took place because the bus changed its route due to traffic jam, which has been caused due to heavy rainfall.
No details of injured have come out so far.
Mumbai has come to standstill due to heavy rainfall. The poor water disposal management system has led to huge amount of water logging and long jams.
The incident comes only hours after a foot-over bridge collapsed in Mumbai’s Andheri on Tuesday morning. The incident has left 5 people injured and has largely affected western local lines.
In a recent revelation, it came to light that a huge tragedy was averted at the site where the bridge collapse took place. As per sources, a local train was just crossing by when the bridge collapsed; and the train driver applied emergency brakes at the last moment, which in turn saved many lives.
