Dialogue with Pakistan will happen provided environment is made conducive for it: General VK Singh

Speaking on the possibilities of change after the election of former cricketer Imran Khan as Prime Minister VK Singh said “I think our policy is very clear. Dialogue will happen provided the environment is made conducive for it”.

New Delhi: In a strong statement against newly formed Pakistan government, Minister of State for External Affairs General VK Singh on Monday cleared the air on dialogue with the neighbouring country stating no dialogue would take place till the situation and environment improve. Speaking on the possibilities of change after the election of former cricketer Imran Khan as Prime Minister VK Singh said “I think our policy is very clear. Dialogue will happen provided the environment is made conducive for it”. Speaking on the continuous infiltration attempts by terrorists even after change in government, VK Singh said “Did you all expect a change? If a person is propped up by Army, army still rules. Let's wait&watch how things move, whether a person remains under army's control or doesn't”. He further added saying, “Army (Pakistan Army) is still calling the shots”. Imran Khan took oath as a Prime Minister of Pakistan on August 18, 2018. The otah taking ceremony was held inside the President House in Islamabad.
