Dhankhar Back To Rajya Sabha After Being Discharged, Greets MPs With Namaste

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Monday resumed his responsibilities as the Rajya Sabha chairman, days after he was discharged from AIIMS Delhi. Dhankhar was admitted to the hospital following complaints of uneasiness and chest pain on March 9.
Dhankhar greeted the members of the Upper House with a 'Namaste'.

He was discharged from AIIMS Delhi on March 12 after he was admitted to the hospital following complaints of uneasiness and chest pain on March 9.

Earlier, Congress's chief whip in the Rajya Sabha, Jairam Ramesh, called on Dhankhar and said the Rajya Sabha Chairman is planning to resume presiding over the Upper House from March 17.
"Called on the Hon'ble Vice President at his residence today. Glad that he has recovered speedily and is planning to resume presiding over the Rajya Sabha from Monday," Ramesh said in his post on X.
Dhankhar had been advised to take adequate rest for the next few days.
In a post on X, Dhankhar thanked the medical team of the AIIMS. He wrote, "Deeply appreciate the exemplary care and professionalism of the medical team at AIIMS, New Delhi, from my admission on March 9 to discharge on March 12."
"Their dedication and meticulous attention ensured a smooth recovery." He added, "Grateful for the concern and good wishes from well-wishers across India and beyond. Your thoughtful gestures have been truly heartening," he added.
