People are being advised to clear accumulating water in the vicinity within seven days. Air coolers, tanks, pots, vases, old tyres, useless containers, empty plots must be kept clean.

New Delhi: In Madhya Pradesh, the second wave of the Covid-19 is almost on the verge of extinction but dengue is becoming a new problem. The number of dengue patients is increasing everywhere. The government is also worried about the present condition. In the Indore district, 17 new dengue cases were reported on Sunday. With this, the total number of dengue cases in the district increased to 139, informed Dr B.S. Sethia, Chief Medical Health Officer, Indore.

The campaign 'Dengue Se Jung Janta Ke Sang' will be launched in Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday to curb dengue. The number of dengue cases in the state has increased in the last few days. These conditions have also raised the concerns of the government. People are being advised to clear accumulating water in the vicinity within seven days. Air coolers, tanks, pots, vases, old tyres, useless containers, empty plots must be kept clean. Also, use chemicals like temephos 50% solution, BTI powder, and BTI liquid for larvae control.

"Precaution is better than cure"

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan told the people of the state, "Stagnant water around the houses gives dengue causing larvae a chance to thrive. Through awareness, Corona and dengue as well as other infectious diseases can be prevented. Precaution is better than cure."

Chief Minister Chouhan further said, "We have decided to launch the campaign 'Dengue Se Jung Janta Ke Sang' on September 15. Dengue cases have been reported in the state. Because of the current situation, the government decided to launch this campaign. The government officials will continue to do their job. Fumigation, larvae destruction, sanitation, clear water accumulation, making medicines available, etc. will be done by the government. But this war can only be fought with the cooperation of the people."
