Delhi Traffic: Know Roads To Avoid, Diversion Points In View Of Modi 3.0 Oath Ceremony Tomorrow
The Delhi Traffic Police issued an advisory today ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of Narendra Modi scheduled for June 9. Check which routes are advised to be avoided.
The Delhi Traffic Police issued an advisory on Saturday ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of PM-designate Narendra Modi scheduled for June 9. Special traffic arrangements would be in effect from 6:45 AM to 8 AM on Sunday to ensure smooth transit and security.
DCP Traffic Prashant Gautam told ANI, "We have made comprehensive arrangements for tomorrow's oath ceremony...Almost 1100 traffic staff have been deployed...An advisory has been issued...Proper arrangements have been made for the foreign delegates arriving for the oath ceremony..."

The advisory urged commuters to avoid certain roads and use public transport to reach their destinations. "Commuters are requested to cooperate by avoiding/bypassing the mentioned roads, if possible, and make maximum use of public transport to reach their destinations," the advisory read.
"We appreciate your understanding and your cooperation towards alleviation of traffic congestions during the mentioned period. People who are going towards ISBT/Railway Stations/Airports are advised to carefully plan their travel with sufficient time at hand," it stated.

- Mahatma Gandhi Marg between IP Flyover and Shanti Van to Y-Point (Salim Garh and MGM merging)

Multi-Layered Security Planned In National Capital
Delhi police officials announced on Friday that a multi-layered security plan would be in place for Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony. The security measures include the deployment of five companies of paramilitary personnel, NSG commandos, drones, and snipers around Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The national capital was on high alert as dignitaries from SAARC nations were invited to the ceremony. Dignitaries attending the swearing-in were provided with designated routes from their hotels to the venue and back.
Top leaders from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Bhutan, Nepal, Mauritius, and Seychelles were expected to attend. Hotels such as Leela, Taj, ITC Maurya, Claridges, and Oberoi were under security cover.
