"Six died in a collision between two vehicles on the Delhi-Lucknow Highway in the Garh Kotwali area of Hapur," Hapur Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Rajkumar Aggarwal was quoted as saying by the news agency. Police have launched an investigation.

Dr Sujeet from Community Health Centre (CHC) Garhmukteshwar said, initially, two people were brought in – Sachin Kumar and Ram Kisan, residents of Loni, Ghaziabad, – who were quickly referred to another hospital. He added that, 10 minutes later, two dead bodies were brought into the CHC. Following this, four more bodies were brought in.

On Sunday, three persons lost their lives and six, including four children, were injured after their vehicle was hit by a truck on the Delhi-Mumbai Express Highway in Rajasthan's Dausa. According to reports, a family was travelling from Ahmedabad to Haridwar to complete the last rites of their deceased mother when the speeding truck hit their vehicle near Bada Village.
