Two involved in killing of Shaurya Chakra Awardee Balwinder Singh Sandhu:
Of the five arrested terrorists, two have been found linked to the killing of the Shaurya Chakra awardee Balwinder Singh Sandhu. Sandhu who fought terrorism in Punjab was shot dead by unknown assailants in Tarn Taran district in October, months after the government withdrew his security cover.
The development comes at a time when Delhi is already disturbed by the ongoing protests as it emerged as the epicentre of the agitation. The farmers had on Friday announced a 'Bharat Bandh' on December 8 and said they would occupy toll plazas on that day if their demands for repealing the agri-marketing laws are not met.
