Caught On Camera: Fire Breaks Out In Delhi's Mohan Garden House, Child Rescued By Fireman

After a fire broke out in a house in Delhi's Mohan Garden, a child was rescue by a fireman from the four storey building.

A fire broke out in the Mohan Garden area in Delhi’s Uttam Nagar on Friday, as per an ANI report. A man and a child were rescued from the four-storey building by fire department officials.

The fire department received the call about a fire in a house at 10 am. Upon receiving the information, as many as six fire tenders reached the spot, and the operation to douse the fire began, according to an ANI report. 

“Total six fire tenders have been dispatched to the spot. The fire is in a house, consisting of ground plus three floors,” said Director of Delhi Fire Service (DFS) Atul Garg told IANS.

“One man and one child have been rescued safely by DFS and the rescue operation will continue,” Garg added.

A video of the rescue operation was shared by ANI, in which a woman was seen climbing down the fire department’s ladder which was propped up to the balcony, where at least four adults were seen standing in the balcony. Following this a fire service personnel was seen climbing down the ladder from the top floor with a child on his back.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. However, no casualty has been reported till now.

According to a report in the Hindustan Times, Garg said the fire control room received a call at 10:14 am from a house in the F-Block of Mohan Garden.
