Delhi En Route To Defeating Corona As New Cases Go Below 100-Mark, Lowest Since April 2020
Around 173 people recovered in the last 24 hours in Delhi, which has gradually been witnessing a decline in daily Covid case counts since the surge in infections in April last week.
New Delhi: In a significant development, the daily Covid-19 case count dropped below the 100-mark in Delhi with the national capital reporting 89 new cases and 11 deaths in the last 24 hours. This is the lowest daily case count the national capital has recorded since April last year.
Around 173 people recovered in the last 24 hours in Delhi, which has gradually been witnessing a decline in daily Covid case counts since the surge in infections in April last week.
The total active cases now stand at 1,996 in Delhi, which reported its highest single-day spike of 28,395 cases in a span of 24 hours earlier on April 21.

Around 14,05,460 people have so far recovered from the novel coronavirus in Delhi while the death toll stands at 24,925.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, which had earlier in a bid to arrest the spike in cases imposed a strict lockdown in the national capital, has now announced certain relaxations.
The relaxations in Covid-induced restrictions in the national capital have been further extended till 5 a.m. on June 28.
The restaurants and bars have been allowed to open for another week and further permission will be given based on an assessment of adherence to Covid appropriate behavior.

The public parks, gardens, golf clubs, and outdoor yoga activities will be allowed. All markets, market complexes, and malls have been permitted to open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
