Delhi Couple Arrested For Trying To Barge In Rashtrapati Bhawan Sent To 14-Day Judicial Custody

The Delhi police have arrested a couple for allegedly entering the Rashtrapati Bhawan on Monday night. The couple allegedly attempted to enter the Rashtrapati Bhawan premises in their car. 

New Delhi: The Delhi police have arrested a couple for allegedly entering the Rashtrapati Bhawan on Monday night have been sent to 14-day judicial custody. A man and a woman allegedly attempted to enter the Rashtrapati Bhawan premises in their car under the influence of alcohol. 

According to ANI, the couple was held by the security personnel at the President’s house, as they were trying to forcibly enter the Rashtrapati Bhawan premises.

The incident took place around 9 PM when the alleged couple barged into gate number 35 of the Rashtrapati Bhawan. They allegedly crossed three security barriers before getting caught.

They were later interrogated by a joint team of central agencies and Delhi police. An FIR has also been lodged against the couple.

After the incident, security has been tightened at the Rashtrapati Bhawan.
