Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been directed to be lodged in Jail Number 2 of Tihar Jail after the Rouse Avenue Court sent him to judicial custody till April 15 in connection with an alleged money laundering case related to the Delhi excise policy. CM Kejriwal, who has been sent to Tihar Jail, has provided a list of visitors to the jail administration, including his wife, children, and some others, according to sources.
Arvind Kejriwal will reside alone in a cell in Jail Number 2. The cell houses 600 inmates, predominantly convicts. For security reasons, Kejriwal has been placed here, as it is secure for inmates serving sentences.
Who Is Allowed To Meet Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal In Tihar Jail?
Kejriwal has given a list of six specific individuals with whom he can meet during his time at Tihar Jail. Apart from family members such as wife Sunita Kejriwal, his son, and daughter, the list includes AAP leader Sandeep Pathak and two friends, sources told ABP News.
According to sources cited by news agency ANI, Kejriwal will be housed alone in a barrack at Tihar under 24-hour CCTV surveillance. "AAP MP Sanjay Singh was shifted to jail number 5 a few days ago," they told ANI.
What Is Arvind Kejriwal Allowed To Keep Inside Prison Cell?
During the court hearing, special provisions were ordered for Kejriwal's stay in jail. The court directed Tihar Jail authorities to allow Kejriwal to carry prescribed medicine and books, and provide one table and chair, a religious locket, and a special diet as prescribed by doctors, as per the jail manual, ANI's report stated.
Kejriwal, through his lawyers, requested permission to carry several books, including Bagwad Geeta, Ramayana, and a book titled "How Prime Minister Decided" authored by Neerja Chaudhary, as per the report.
According to NDTV's report, the Delhi Chief Minister has been allowed home-cooked meals, bottled water, and access to essential medical equipment, as per the Delhi court ruling on Monday. Additionally, he will have access to bed linen from home.
Due to diabetes and weak immunity, CM Kejriwal has been allowed access to equipment to monitor his health.

What Will Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's Routine Look Like?
His daily routine in jail will begin at sunrise at around 6:30 am, with breakfast provided at 6:40 am, ANI reported citing sources. He will also be allowed to watch television.
"Kejriwal will have to go back to his cell at noon and stay there till 3 pm. After the tea break, he can meet his lawyers at 4 pm. Dinner is served at around 6:30 pm, which can be taken to their cell," ANI sources said, also informing that he will only be allowed to watch government channels.
As per NDTV's report, lunch will be between 10:30 and 11 am and after dinner, prisoners are locked up for the night by 7 pm.
In Tihar Jail, breakfast includes options like porridge, bread, and tea. The common meal consists of dal and vegetables. Each inmate can choose one item from either rice or roti. Additionally, new inmates are provided with a kit containing everyday essentials.
Arvind Kejriwal To Get Prison Account In Tihar Jail
Kejriwal will be given a prisoner account in Tihar Jail, allowing his family members to deposit money. This will enable him to purchase items from the jail canteen, including salad, fruits, snacks, biscuits, toiletries, and paste, similar to the daily routine.
Kejriwal was arrested on March 21 by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the excise policy case and has spent 10 days in ED custody, as per the court's direction.
