Delhi and the nearby areas continue to reel under increasing air pollution, especially after the Diwali and Chatth Puja celebrations. Fire crackers were used in the celebrations despite the absolute ban by the court which further aggravated the situation. The Yamuna river was also coated in toxic foam due to the pollution and efforts are on to contain the same. Smog guns among other measures have been deployed to tackle the pollution menace.
The AAP government also in the past provided financial help to registered construction workers in Delhi during the COVID-19 pandemic.
