Bizarre! Dancers Called In From Outside To Perform At Quarantine Center In Bihar's Samastipur

A group of dancers was called to a quarantine centre in Samastipur district on Monday night to perform there.

Patna: Reportedly, a group of dancers was called to perform at a quarantine centre in Karrakh village of Bihar's Samastipur district on Monday night. Taking cognisance of the matter, the local administration has assured that it will take appropriate action against defaulters, adding that individuals are not permitted to come from outside for staging dance performances or other such entertainment purposes. "We are taking cognisance of the matter and will take action accordingly. We have installed a TV there. The administration doesn't permit for any other entertainment from outside," said Additional District Collector. This bizarre incident has surfaced when the country is still fighting the Covid-19 pandemic. In Bihar, the number of coronavirus cases has risen as several migrant labourers who returned to the state due to lack of employment in other places, have been tested positive. Therefore, a dance performance in a quarantine centre points to a shocking level of negligence and ignorance towards the seriousness of the lockdown measures that have been put in place to contain the spread of Covid-19. More updates awaited.
