Odisha's Gajapati has announced the closure of all schools and Anganwadi centers on Wednesday, December 6, due to the possibility of heavy rainfall caused by cyclone Michaung.

The office of the Collector and District Magistrate in Odisha's Gajapati has announced the closure of all schools and Anganwadi centres on Wednesday, December 6, due to the possibility of heavy rainfall caused by cyclone Michaung which is expected to make landfall in Andhra Pradesh this noon.

"In view of possible heavy rainfall due to cyclonic storm Michaung over the Bay of Bengal, all the primary, upper primary, high school and anganwadi centre shall remain closed on 6th December 2023", the office issued a notice on Tuesday.
