India's Daily Covid Tally On 88-Day Low; 53K New Cases, 1422 Deaths In Last 24 Hours
Daily recoveries continue to outnumber the Daily New Cases for the 39th consecutive day
Covid In India: India's Active Caseload declined to 7,02,887. India has reported 53,256 new cases in the last 24 hours; the lowest in 88 days. 2,88,44,199 people have recovered in the country so far. The country has recorded 1422 deaths in last 24 hours as per Union Health Ministry.

Weekly Positivity Rate remains below 5%, currently at 3.32% Daily positivity rate at 3.83%, less than 5% for 14 consecutive days
Testing capacity substantially ramped up – 39.24 cr tests total conducted
Even as the number of Maharashtra’s daily Covid-19 cases has reduced comparatively, a major chunk of the fresh infections is being recorded from the rural areas of nine districts. The state added 9,361 infections on Sunday, of which 5,194 were from the rural parts of Raigad, Ahmednagar, Pune, Solapur, Satara, Kolhapur, Sangli, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg districts.
The state’s active case count was 132,241, while the state’s overall tally rose to 5,972,781. Mumbai reported 747 fresh Covid-19 infections and 19 deaths. The city’s active caseload was 18,591.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) stated that 39,24,07,782 samples tested for COVID 19, up to 20th June 2021. Of these, 13,88,699 samples were tested yesterday:
The overall global Covid 19 caseload has topped 178.4 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 3.86 million. In its latest update, the JohnsHopkinsUniversity said the current global caseload and death toll stood at 178,424,674 and 3,864,442, respectively.
