Coronavirus Cases HIGHLIGHTS India stares at a yet another possible health crisis as the second wave of Coronavirus has forced several states including Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Punjab and others to take strict measures with country witnessing a record single-day spike of 1,26,789 new coronavirus infections on Thursday, pushing the nationwide COVID-19 tally of cases to 1,29,28,574. 

Ten states including Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Kerala and Punjab have shown a steep rise in the daily COVID-19 cases accounting for 84.21 per cent of the 1,26,789 new infections. 

What is concerning is the fact that the national weekly Covid-19 positivity rate has increased by 6.21 per cent from 2.19 to 8.40 per cent in the first seven days of March and April.

37 Doctors Of Delhi's Ganga Ram Hospital Test Covid Positive, All Of Them Were Vaccinated

As many as 37 doctors of the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi have tested positive for coronavirus. As per reports, while 32 of them have mild symptoms and are in home isolation, five are admitted in the hospital itself for treatment.

All the 37 doctors who have tested positive were vaccinated.
