The incident took place in Sardana’s Rardhana village, where police forces from 6 police stations have been deployed after the communal tension. Tanu and Khalid passed away after consuming poison. Tanu Rajput was brought to Ishwar nursing home, where she was declared dead; whereas, Khalid was taken to Subharti hospital, where he passed away during treatment. The girl was treated by a Muslim doctor, who asked to send her to the trauma centre. After this, hundreds of people attacked the doctor’s residence. When the attack took place, the CO of Sardhana was present at the spot, but he only stood there, without taking any action. The doctor’s family is afraid they would get attacked again and are feeling unsafe in the village and are mulling about moving to a new place soon. After the incident took a communal turn, there is a state of tension in the region. The SP and CO have now reached the village with a police force from 6 police stations.
