EXCLUSIVE | Nitish Kumar Confident Of Retaining Power In Bihar After ABP Opinion Poll Gives NDA A Clear Majority

ABP News-CVoter Opinion Poll had predicted Nitish Kumar outshining opposition parties with an ease. Bihar is set to conduct three-phase polls starting from October 28, for the upcoming Assembly Elections.

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed confidence in retaining power as Chief Minister in the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections 2020. Reacting to the ABP News-CVoter Opinion Poll which predicted Nitish Kumar outshining opposition parties with an ease, the Chief Minister said that people of Bihar very well know "NDA has no personal interest, we always work for the development and welfare of the state" ALSO READ | Bihar Elections, ABP-CVoter Opinion Poll | Nitish Kumar Emerges As Most Preferred CM, Tejashwi Not Far Behind In an exclusive conversation with ABP News on Saturday, JDU chief and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said, "Some people are upset with me for my progressive step of prohibiting liquor in the state." The comment was a direct jibe at Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and other opposition parties of the state. Further commenting on the ABP News CVoter survey, Bihar CM said that the survey conducted by ABP News is absolutelt correct and some people uselessly keep on giving false statements. "I know on one side there is this statement givers and on the other some people are upset with me because of the good works I have done for the state," he said. WATCH | Bihar CM Nitish Kumar's exclusive conversation with ABP News: Nitish Kumar's reaction came soon after ABP News-CVoter survey gave NDA a clear majority in Bihar Assembly Elections and predicted that the alliance will secure somewhere around 135-159 seats in the 243 member legislative house. While on the other hand, the survey also states that UPA Grand Alliance (Mahagathbandhan) with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress, Communist Party of India, Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Communist Party of India (ML)(L) lags behind massively with securing mere 77-98 seats in the polls. The survey also predicted that NDA will garner as much as 43 per cent of the total vote share, whereas Mahagathbandhan will bag 35 per cent votes in the Assembly polls. Chirag Paswan's LJP might only get 4 per cent of the total vote share, survey said adding that Others might get 18 per cent in their kitty. In Mahagathbandhan, RJD is likely to get 24 per cent votes whereas Congress could end up with just 6 per cent votes in the state elections. Other parties such as CPI, CPI (M) and CPI (ML)L will get 1 per cent, 0.5 per cent and 2.7 per cent votes, respectively.
