Chhath Puja: CM Soren, Nitish Kumar Take Part In Rituals As Devotees Throng Ghats To Offer Prayers — WATCH
Hundreds of devotees thronged different ghats as they offered 'Sandhya Arghya' to the setting Sun on Sunday.
New Delhi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, his Bihar and Haryana counterparts Nitish Kumar and Manohar Lal Khattar took part in the Chhath rituals on Sunday. Bihar CM Kumar arrived with Governor Rajendra Arlekar to take part in the rituals, while CM Soren offered ‘Sandhya Arghya’ to the setting sun in Ranchi. CM Khattar attended the Chhath Mahotsav in Panipat.
“I hope that India wins today's match which has made the auspicious festival of Chhath Puja even more cheerful,” news agency ANI quoted CM Soren as saying.

India and Australia final World Cup match is being played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
The four-day Chhath festival began on Friday. On the first day, the devotees bathe in the ghats and take part in the rituals. On the second day, the worshippers observe ‘kharna’ and distribute the offerings among the family members. On the third day, they 'arghya' (prayers) to the setting Sun, while on the last day, the devotees offer prayers to the rising Sun.

Extending Chhath greetings to the people, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai said the government has made all arrangements to ensure the devotees do not face any problems during worship.
“Chhath Puja is being organised by the government & all arrangements are made so that people do not face any problems. A large number of people are celebrating Chhath in Delhi at various places. I want to extend my wishes on the occasion of Chhath on behalf of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal & the people of Delhi,” Rai told ANI.
