Store an adequate amount of water if relying on electric pumps.Unplug sensitive appliances like TVs, refrigerators, and computers to prevent damage from voltage surges.

Avoid using elevators and high-power electrical devices during the outage. Keep flashlights or candles accessible in case of extended power loss. After restoration, turn on appliances gradually to avoid sudden power spikes.

Try to avoid opening refrigerators frequently, as it helps preserve the internal temperature and prevents spoilage of perishable items. Informing family members about the timing of the shutdown can prevent confusion and help them prepare as well. It’s also wise to check if any electronic devices are behaving abnormally or need resetting.
