Kumar Vishwas Gets Y-Category Security Cover After 'Khalistan' Claim Against Arvind Kejriwal

AAP national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had dubbed allegations levelled by Kumar Vishwas as "laughable", saying he must be the "world's sweetest terrorist".

New Delhi: The Union government on Saturday decided to give former Aam Aadmi Party leader and poet Kumar Vishwas a 'Y' category security.

This comes after Kumar Vishwas accused AAP national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of supporting separatists in poll-bound Punjab.

The Union government had reviewed the security of Kumar Vishwas and the threat perception based on intelligence inputs in the wake of his allegations against Arvind Kejriwal.

After the review, it was decided to give Vishwas 'Y' category security through the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), official sources told news agency PTI.

Under the 'Y' category security, he will be protected by four personal security officers round the clock.

Meanwhile, Arvind Kejriwal has been under attack from Congress, Shiromani Akali Dal, and Bharatiya Janata Party who have questioned him over his former party colleague's accusations of the Delhi Chief Minister having connections with separatists.

Man They Call 'Terrorist' Built 12,430 Smart Classrooms: Arvind Kejriwal

Facing allegations of harbouring separatist ideas for Punjab, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal once again claimed that all the corrupt people have teamed up against AAP.

"All the corrupt people of the country have teamed up against us. Today, we will give them a befitting reply by inaugurating 12,430 modern classrooms in Delhi schools. This country will not bow down before these corrupt people. The country has decided. The country will move ahead. The dreams of Baba Saheb and Bhagat Singh shall be fulfilled," the Chief Minister wrote on Twitter.

Speaking at the inauguration of 12,430 smart classrooms in Delhi government schools on Saturday, Arvind Kejriwal hit out at his political opponents saying the man they called "terrorist" has built 12,430 smart classrooms in government schools in the national capital.

"I have dedicated these 12,430 classrooms to the country. The person, whom they are calling a terrorist, has made such schools where the children of the poor and rich study together," he said, as quoted by PTI.

"The person, whom they are accusing of terrorism, is fulfilling the dreams of Baba Saheb Ambedkar and Bhagat Singh," he added.

Previously, the AAP national convener had dubbed allegations levelled by Kumar Vishwas as "laughable", saying he must be the "world's sweetest terrorist" who builds schools and hospitals.

The controversy has erupted while Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party emerged as a key challenger to the ruling Congress in Punjab where voting for Assembly election is due on Sunday.
