Bulli Bai Case: Delhi Police Arrest Main Conspirator & Twitter Account Holder Of App From Assam
The Delhi Police special cell have arrested the main conspirator & creator of 'Bulli Bai' on GitHub in Assam.
New Delhi: The main conspirator in the Bulli Bai app case has been arrested by Delhi Police’s IFSO special cell from Assam, reported ANI.
KPS Malhotra, DCP (IFSO) said, "Neeraj Bishnoi, arrested from Assam by Delhi Police Special Cell's IFSO team, is the main conspirator & creator of 'Bulli Bai' on GitHub & the main Twitter account holder of the app. He is being brought to Delhi."
IFSO further revealed that 20-year-old Neeraj Bishnoi who is the mastermind in the 'Bulli Bai' app case is a resident of the Digambar area of Assam's Jorhat. He is a BTech student of Vellore Institute of Technology in Bhopal.
Three people have been arrested by Mumbai police so far in connection with the `Bulli Bai' app which targeted Muslim women by putting up their images online for `auction'.
The Mumbai police also claimed that the accused seemed to have used names related to the Sikh community in their Twitter handles which promoted the app in order to mislead people about their identity.
Mumbai police revealed the 18-year-old Shweta Singh, arrested from Uttarakhand by the cyber cell of city police, was the prime accused who had created the Twitter handle of the app.
Singh, who has passed class 12 exam and was planning to pursue engineering, was acting on the instructions from one `Giyou' who was based in Nepal, he claimed. Earlier in the day, Mumbai police commissioner Hemant Nagrale told reporters that some more people were likely to be involved in the matter.
Mayank Rawal (21) was nabbed from Uttarakhand in the early hours of Wednesday in the case. Shweta Singh was arrested on Tuesday from Rudrapur in the same state, while engineering student Vishal Kumar Jha (21) was held from Bengaluru on Monday.
