Budget Session: Seven Key Bills On Rajya Sabha Agenda For Last Week — Know All About It

New Delhi: Seven Bills including "The Criminal Procedure (Identification) Bill" and "The Delhi Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Bill" have been listed on the agenda of the Rajya Sabha as the ongoing second half of the Budget session comes to a close on April 8.
Six of the seven Bills to be listed on the agenda of the Rajya Sabha have already been cleared by the Lok Sabha.
Which are the key Bills to be presented in the last week?
"The Criminal Procedure (Identification) Bill, 2022" passed by the Lok Sabha last week, proposes to authorise the police to take measurements of convicts and accused for the purposes of their identifications and investigations in criminal matters to preserve records, according to the news agency ANI report.

Union minister for home affairs Amit Shah is expected to present "The Delhi Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Bill, 2022", which aims at the unification of the three municipal corporations.
The bill was approved by the Lok Sabha on Wednesday through a voice vote amid several amendments proposed by the Opposition MPs got rejected.
It is expected that the MCD amendment bill will trigger a debate in the Upper House, with the Aam Admi Party (AAP) alleging that the legislative proposal has been brought before the Parliament to delay the municipal elections in the national capital.
The Chartered Accountants, the Cost and Works Accountants and the Company Secretaries (Amendment) Bill, 2021 that looks at disclosing pending complaints or actionable information against members and firms, will be tabled by finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Upper House.
The four other Bills are "The Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Amendment) Bill, 2022">2022", relating to Tripura, "The Constitution (Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes) Orders (Amendment) Bill, 2022">2022", pertaining to Uttar Pradesh, "The Indian Antarctica Bill, 2022">2022", and "The Weapons of Mass Destruction and their Delivery Systems (Prohibition of Unlawful Activities Amendment) Bill, 2022">2022".
The last bill that has not been approved in the Lok Sabha to be introduced in the Rajya Sabha is "The Weapons of Mass Destruction and their Delivery Systems (Prohibition of Unlawful Activities Amendment) Bill, 2022".
Tribal affairs minister Arjun Munda would propose "The Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Amendment) Bill, 2022", relating to Tripura in Rajya Sabha in the last week of the Budget session in Parliament.
In this Budget session, Rajya Sabha has logged productivity of 101 per cent.
In the previous week, there were some forced disruptions and adjournments that wasted 54 minutes of the Upper House's time. However, members sat beyond the scheduled time for one hour and 48 minutes.
The first half of the Budget session began on January 31 and concluded on February 11.
