Maharashtra Turmoil: Shiv Sena's National Executive Meet Today At 1 PM
Amid the ongoing political crisis in Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena has called for a meeting of the party's national executive committee at Sena Bhavan, Mumbai today at 1 pm. The Chief Minister, who is currently positive with Covid-19, will also join the meeting through video conferencing. Meanwhile, in a meeting of Shiv Sena's rebel MLAs, they have planned to take a resolution to oust Deputy Speaker Narhari Zirwal. Action is being taken to prepare for the Motion with the signature of 46 MLAs of the rebel group, sources told news agency ANI.
Meanwhile, Eknath Shinde on Friday proclaimed the support of 37 MLAs leaving the Shiv Sena with 17 legislators. The rebels submitted its claimed list to Deputy Speaker and also attached two resolutions stating that Shinde continues to be the chief of Shiv Sena Legislative Party, and appointed MLA Bharat Gogavale as the new Chief Whip, as the group contended its support has increased today to 41 Sena MLAs, plus a dozen independents and smaller parties today (June 24).
Madhya Pradesh: Voting For Phase 1 Panchayat Elections Today
The first phase of Panchayat elections will begin in Madhya Pradesh from Saturday 25th June. Polling will be held from 7 am to 3pm. According to reports, total of 1,217 polling booths have been set up in Indore, out of which 282 are very sensitive more than two thousands police has been deployed in these polling booths.
Out of 4,555 Panch posts, election will be held for 1,438 posts. Whereas for the remaining 3,117 post, they will be elected unopposed due to the receipt of single nomination papers.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo and Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann will hold a roadshow in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh today.The crucial Assembly elections in the hill state is slated to be held later this year.
Kejriwal and Mann's visit comes in the backdrop of AAP making inroads into the political space in Delhi's neighbouring states of Haryana after winning one Municipal Corporation in the state.
