Sisodia Barred From Traveling Abroad? Look Out Circular Against All Accused In Delhi Excise Case 'In Process'
The CBI is "in process" of issuing a Look Out Circular (LOC) against all accused named in the Delhi Excise Policy scam case, including Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia.
New Delhi: Amid the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigation into the alleged Delhi Excise Policy scam, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is said to have been barred from traveling abroad.
Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia on Sunday claimed that a Look Out Notice was issued against him and tweeted: "All your raids have failed, nothing has been found, not a single penny of manipulation has been found, now you have issued a lookout notice that Manish Sisodia is not available. What is this gimmick Modi ji? I am roaming freely in Delhi, tell me where to come? You can't find me?"

Sources had claimed that the CBI has issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against all accused named in the excise policy scam case. ANI reported CBI sources as clarifying that the Look Out Circular against Manish Sisodia and others accused is “in process, not issued yet”.
It was a procedural matter that takes due process to be followed before issuing it against any person, they said.
Earlier in the day, Sisodia tweeted a video targeting PM Narendra Modi over his stance on CBI. In the old video, the then Gujarat Chief Minister can be heard criticising the "misuse" of CBI and its "politicisation". Modi says that the nation has lost trust in the central agency as it has been deployed for political work.

Addressing a press conference on Saturday, Manish Sisodia claimed that he will be arrested within the next 2-3 days in a conspiracy to stop the work being done in the education and health sector in the national capital. He also asserted that the 2024 Lok Sabha polls will be a fight between AAP and BJP, PM Narendra Modi, and CM Arvind Kejriwal.
Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia On Gujarat Visit On Monday
Notably, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia are slated to visit Gujarat on Monday to "guarantee education and health". This will be the fifth visit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)'s national convener this month to Gujarat where Assembly elections are due in December this year. The AAP had announced the names of its candidates for 19 seats so far.
Besides the raid at the home of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister, the CBI on Friday searched 30 other locations in seven states and Union territories in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy. The central probe agency claimed that Rs 1 crore had allegedly been paid to a company belonging to a close associate of the AAP leader.
Both Sisodia and CM Arvind Kejriwal "welcomed" the CBI raid as they maintained that the AAP government was working with honesty and the probe would fail to find anything against them.
