'One on bail, other in jail': BJP targets Rahul Gandhi after he met Lalu Yadav at AIIMS

NEW DELHI: The BJP on Monday targetted Rahul Gandhi after Congress President met RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav in the national capital at AIIMS, where the former Bihar chief minister was undergoing treatment.
Attacking the two leaders, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra questioned their meeting and alleged the both Rahul and Lalu are hand-in-glove when it comes to corruption.
Taking to Twitter, Sambit said Rahul is out on bail in the National Herald case while Lalu is serving jail term in multiple fodder scam cases.
Earlier on Monday, the Congress chief called on the RJD supremo to enquire about the latter's health before he was discharged this afternoon. Prasad was lodged in Ranchi's Birsa Munda Central Jail since December 23 after being convicted in the Deoghar treasury case. On March 29 he was allowed to undertake specialised treatment by the special CBI court at AIIMS, Delhi. Doctors at AIIMS issued a fitness certificate saying he is healthy enough to return to jail. The Bihar leader protested his discharge from AIIMS alleging it was a conspiracy to deteriorate his health. He will be taken to the Jharkhand jail. Before that he wrote a letter to AIIMS Director questioning his early discharge. "Why am I being discharged when I have not completely recovered? This is being done under some political pressure. If something happens to me, AIIMS would be responsible for it." His anger was quite evident as he got into an argument with a policeman before entering the railway station His party MP Jai Prakash Narayan Yadav alleged that the AIIMS appeared to be acting under the pressure of central agencies like the CBI. "It seems there is a conspiracy to murder him. Why they are discharging him when he is not fit yet," Yadav said.एक Bail पे एक Jail में फिर भी इनकी हिम्मत है जो कहते है हम डटे हैं जंगे भ्रष्टाचार के खेल में।। pic.twitter.com/0TORngvmHV
