BJP Attacks Congress Over Alleged Lynching Of Dalit Youth In Rajasthan, Police Make 3 Arrests
The BJP attacked the Congress government in the state and said, "In a Congress-ruled state, the CM does not even take care about the killings. It's very sad."
Delhi/Jaipur: In Rajasthan, police have arrested three persons in connection with the lynching of a Dalit youth in Pilibhanga in the Hanumangarh district. A video of the incident that took place on Thursday evening also went viral in which a man named Jagdish was brutally killed by some people.
There was a furore over the incident after the Bhim Army staged a dharna with the body demanding the arrest of the killers.
The Bhim Army has called off the dharna after talks with the administration and police. The deceased was cremated, and three persons have been arrested by the police in the case. Police teams have been sent separately to arrest others. Hanumangarh District Deputy Superintendent of Police Ranveer Singh said that at first glance it seems to be a case of a love affair.
BJP questions Congress
BJP leader Gaurav Bhatia held a press conference in Delhi on Saturday and questioned if Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Vadra Gandhi, CM Channi, and CM Bhupesh Baghel go there? "Most heinous crimes are being committed in Rajasthan, neither Dalits are safe nor women," he said.
In a Congress-ruled state, the CM does not even care about the murder that takes place under his nose, there has been no arrest. There exists a section in the society that decides the worth of a person based on whether the crime has been committed under the BJP rule or not. No one said anything on it.
BJP leader Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore said it is very sad. The video shows the young man being brutally beaten. Law and order in Rajasthan is in the hands of goons. There are 2 groups fighting amongst themselves and leaving the public to fend for themselves.
