Bijnor: Stone-pelting at Gurudwara amid victory celebration of Samajwadi Party

Bijnor: Violent clashes erupted between two communal groups amid celebrations over the victory of Samajwadi Party candidate Naimul Hasan in Noorpur assembly by-polls. The supporters of the Samajwadi Party candidate allegedly indulged in stone-pelting and destructive activities at religious places. Because of the high tensions, heavy security forces have been deployed in the area. In the footages of the clash circulating on the social media, gunshots can be heard and seen distinctly. As per the reports, a Gurudwara was targeted by the supporters of Naimul Hasan. It should be known that SP candidate Naimul Hasan defeated BJP’s Avni Singh with a margin of about 6000 votes. This seat was earlier held by BJP and the defeat is a major setback for the party. The incident occurred while amid the victory celebrations of Hasan.
