Bihar: Tejashwi alleges CM Nitish of snooping into his house with CCTV camera; shares video

In a series of tweets, Tejashwi questioned what was the need for the Chief Minister who already has Z+ category and even resides in a high-security zone, to install cameras only on the wall bordering his political rival’s residence.

New Delhi: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday alleged Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of snooping into his house and breaching his privacy by installing high CCTV cameras facing his house. The son of RJD Supremo Lalu Yadav, shared images of the CCTV camera facing his house. He also shared a video to demonstrate how his entire house comes in the range of the camera. In a series of tweets, Tejashwi questioned what was the need for the Chief Minister who already has Z+ category and even resides in a high-security zone, to install cameras only on the wall bordering his political rival’s residence. He also shared the picture of the camera facing Yadav’s house which is installed on the CM’s boundary. “Is this Nitish Ji's paranoia for security or many other insecurities, frustrations and apprehensions with that he has put only CCTV camera right on the boundary wall between his and my residence to snoop over? Why the CM needs a camera only there when he already has a permanent security check post?” Tejashwi tweeted. Questioning what was the need of installing camera only on one side of the house if spying what was not the intent, he further said: “Bihar CM’s residence is surrounded by main roads from 3 sides and Leader of Opposition's residence from the fourth side. But the CM felt the need for CCTV only on the wall bordering his political adversary's residence? Someone should tell him that these petty tricks will prove futile!” “The Bihar government must tighten the security whenever required for the CM who already has Z+ category and even resides in a high-security zone but is it preferable to install high-resolution HD CCTV cameras facing, snooping & interfering the privacy of neighbour?”, he questioned on the micro-blogging website. Hours later, Tejashwi also released a video showing his entire residence including his bedrooms, kitchen, terrace and main entrance, all of which he alleges comes in the range of the camera. Check here: Responding to Tejashwi’s allegations, JDU leader Sanjay Singh, said that the camera does not capture Tejashwi’s bedroom so he should not worry about it. “Nitish Kumar is the Chief Minister the CCTV camera has been installed keeping in view his security. Tejashwi Yadav should not worry about it, his bedroom is not in the camera’s view. He is afraid that all the criminals visiting his house including trafficking accused Mani Yadav will be captured in the Camera,” Sanjay Singh said. Watch:
