Bihar Election Results 2020: JDU's KC Tyagi Jumps The Gun, Says 'We're Losing Only Due To COVID19 Impact'

Bihar Election Results: As the result of Bihar elections are still awaited with the tally swinging between the NDA and Grand Alliance, Janata Dal (United) leader KC Tyagi has seemed to concede to defeat stating the Covid-19 impact. Also Read: Bihar Election 2020 Results, Key Constituencies: As Results Unfold, A Glance At Important Seats That Can Decide Bihar's Future As the result from various constituencies in the state are trickling in Janata Dal (United) leader KC Tyagi on Tuesday said to ANI, “A year ago, RJD couldn't win a single seat in Lok Sabha polls. As per Lok Sabha results, JDU & allies were to win over 200 seats. In last one year, nothing has harmed brand Nitish or added to brand RJD, we're losing only due to COVID19 impact” The party spokesperson said the disastrous economic consequences have impacted the party’s prospect in the state instead of pointing towards the 31-year-old Tejashwi Yadav’s rise in the state. He has earlier said that conducting elections during the time of the coronavirus pandemic is a major challenge, but also stressed that it is part of the democratic process to conduct timely elections.
The state is witnessing an anti-incumbency wave against chief minister Nitish Kumar due to the migrant labour crises which forced labourers returning home due to the sudden imposition of lockdown along with the challenges of flood in the state. Kumar has lost his appeal with the voter base shrinking even as the trends seem to have shifted in favour of Nitsih led government in the last one hour of counting.  If Kumar wins this election it will be a historic fourth term for him as the Chief Minister of Bihar. It's still a wait and watch game as the thrilling contest between the NDA and Grand Alliance display mercurial drifts.
