Bihar Covid Restrictions: State Govt Relaxes Curbs As New Cases Decline; Check What's Open, What's Shut

As per the announcement, all shops will open on alternative days till 7 p.m. everyday. The parks will be open between 6 a.m. and 12 noon. Besides, a maximum of 25 people will be allowed in the wedding ceremonies.

Patna: With Bihar witnessing a sharp decline in fresh coronavirus cases, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar-led government on Monday announced relaxation in the Covid restrictions.

As per the announcement, all shops will open on alternative days till 7 p.m. every day. The parks will be open between 6 a.m. and 12 noon. Besides, a maximum of 25 people will be allowed in the wedding ceremonies.

Here are the revised guidelines. Check what's open, what's shut:

  • All government and private offices will be open till 5 p.m. with normal attendance. The visitors are not allowed in government offices.
  • All shops and establishments will open on alternative days till 7 p.m. every day. The District Magistrates will issue orders in this regard.
  • All shops and establishments dealing with fertilizers, seeds, pesticides and agricultural implements besides shops of essential fertilizers and fruits and vegetables, meat, fish, milk, and PDS shops will be open till 7 p.m.
  • All people must wear masks in shops and establishments.
  • The shopkeepers must ensure sanitizers at the counters.
  • Social distancing norms must be followed in all shops.

The District administration will initiate action on the violation of rules.

Earlier on Sunday, Bihar reported 294 new coronavirus cases and seven people succumbed to Covid-19 in a span of 24 hours.
