Bihar: 8 Dead As Car Falls Into Pond In Purnia District, 2 Rescued

10 people were travelling in the car and two have been rescued from the pond and the mortal remains of the dead have been sent for post-mortem. 

Eight people lost their lives in an accident in Kanjia village of Purnia district of Bihar late last night, reported news agency ANI. The accident took place when a vehicle fell into a pond. 

As per the ANI report, the police said, “8 bodies recovered. They were coming from Tarabadi & going to Kishanganj when it happened. 2 people safely rescued. Bodies being sent for postmortem.”

As per reports, all the people who lost their lives in the accident were residents of Kishanganj and were returning from Tarabadi. They went there for a wedding function and travelling in a Scorpio car.  

As the car fell into the pond, the villagers gathered at the site and informed the police. Later the ambulance was called and the mortal remains of the dead were sent for post-mortem by the police.
