Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar released from jail; says 'only aim is to defeat BJP'
“Behenji is my bua (aunt) and I have nothing against her as she had done a lot of work for the people”.
Saharanpur: Bhim Army Chief Chandrasheker aka Ravan has been released from jail after U.P government order. He was released late night at 2:30am. He was welcomed by his followers, who were present outside jail in large numbers for his welcome. Right after his release, Ravan pledged that he would pull BJP out of power.
He said that his only aim is to pull Bharatiya Janta Party out of power. He further declared that Bhim Army would support Mahagathbandhan and that they would work to ensure BJP loses the elections. He further claimed that none of his members would vote in favour of BJP.
Uttar Pradesh’s Yogi Government decided to give an early release to Chandrashekhar as per NSA law; who was arrested last year, following violence in Saharanpur.
The move by Yogi Government is being seen as an attempt to please the lower casts. But, soon after release Ravan lashed out at BJP only.
Bhim Army has made its presence in several areas of West Uttar Pradesh as well. It is believed that Bhim Army had a major role to play in BJP’s defeat in Uttar Pradesh’s Lok Sabha bypolls, though people with strings attached to BSP are seen keeping from speaking anything on Bhim Army.
On his release, when Chandrashekhar was questioned on Mayawati, he said that “Behenji is my bua (aunt) and I have nothing against her as she had done a lot of work for the people”.Govt was so scared that they are going to be rebuked by Supreme Court, that they ordered an early release to save themselves. I'm confident that they'll frame some charges against me within 10 days: I'll ask my ppl to throw BJP out of power in 2019: Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar pic.twitter.com/h9JmBfQGmm
