Bengaluru Traffic: Know Routes To Avoid Tomorrow In View Of PM Modi's Visit — Details

Ahead of PM's visit, the Bengaluru traffic police have issued a thorough advise listing road limits to help with traffic management.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday will pay a visit to Bengaluru to congratulate the scientists at the ISRO Telemetry, Tracking, and Command Network (ISTRAC) in Peenya on the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission. Ahead of PM's visit, the Bengaluru traffic police have issued a thorough advise listing road limits to help with traffic management.

PM Modi will fly into HAL Airport and then drive to the ISRO station in Peenya. The Bengaluru City Traffic Police have requested that people avoid the routes on which the Prime Minister would travel on Saturday between 4.30 a.m. and 9.30 a.m. Traffic disruption is likely in the city because this window encompasses morning peak hours.

Restrictions have been imposed on Old Airport Road, Old Madras Road, M.G. Road, Cubbon Road, Raj Bhavan Road, Ballari Road (Mekhri Circle), C.V. Raman Road, Yashwanthapura Flyover, Tumkur Road (from Yeshwantpur to Nagasandra), Magadi Road, Outer Ring Road (from Goraguntepalya Jn to Sumanahalli), Gubbi Thotadhappa Road, Jalahalli crossroad. Heavy Goods Vehicles of all sorts are restricted from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m.

A recent meeting of top police personnel was held at the Police Commissioner's office to evaluate security measures in advance of PM Modi's visit to Bengaluru. According to a Times Now report, the Karnataka BJP plans to hold a large road show near Peenya to congratulate PM Modi on the success of Chandrayaan 3 mission. The roadshow will be one km long.

India made history on Wednesday as the Lander Module (LM) of ISRO's ambitious third Moon mission Chandrayaan-3 touched down on the lunar surface, becoming only the fourth country to do so and the first to reach the unknown south pole of Earth's only natural satellite.

Earlier, the LM, which included the lander (Vikram) and the rover (Pragyan), accomplished a smooth touchdown near the Moon's south polar area. ISRO stated earlier today that the rover has rolled down from the lander, claiming that "India took a walk on the moon."
