'Don't Worry, Just Kill Him!': Key Suspect Reveals Talk With Lawrence Bishnoi Before NCP Leader's Murder
Baba Siddique Murder: Key suspect in the Baba Siddique murder case, Shivkumar Gautam, has revealed that he had a talk with jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi before the assassination.
Lawrence Bishnoi News: A significant breakthrough has emerged in the investigation into the murder of Baba Siddique, a leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and former Maharashtra minister. During police interrogation, a key suspect admitted to having communicated with Lawrence Bishnoi, a jailed gangster, while planning the assassination.
According to sources, Shivkumar Gautam, the main shooter recently arrested by authorities, revealed that he spoke with Bishnoi during the preparations for the murder in Pune. Bishnoi reportedly assured him that if he were captured after Siddique's killing, he should not panic. "Don't worry. Just kill him," Bishnoi allegedly told him.
Promises of Escape and Financial Support
The incarcerated gangster allegedly promised Gautam that he and his team would facilitate his escape from jail shortly after the murder. Furthermore, Bishnoi promised to pay him Rs 12 lakh for the assassination and promised to arrange for Gautam's relocation abroad once he was released from custody.
Gautam also said that Bishnoi claimed to have a team of lawyers ready to secure his release within days if he were arrested after the murder.
First Mention of Bishnoi in the Case
This revelation marks the first time Lawrence Bishnoi's name has surfaced in connection with Siddique's murder. Previously, investigations had pointed towards Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence's brother, who is believed to have orchestrated the assassination from Canada.
Former Maharashtra minister Siddique (66) was shot dead by three assailants outside his son MLA Zeeshan Siddique's office building in Bandra East on October 12. He was shot twice in his chest and was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he passed away.
Earlier, the Mumbai Police had sought an extension of Gautam's remand, saying he was not cooperating with the probe, and the weapon used in the shooting has not been recovered as yet.
According to police sources, Lawrence Bishnoi began plotting NCP leader Baba Siddique's murder within 10 days of the firing incident outside actor Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartment on April 14 this year. The Bishnoi gang initially plotted Khan's murder but when the plan could not succeed they tried to instil fear by carrying out a shootout outside his residence.
