Ram Mandir's inauguration is scheduled for January 22, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, special invitees, other leaders, and seers from across the country.
As Ayodhya readies for Jan 22 consecration, an intricate security tapestry unfolds, featuring AI-driven drones, multiple camera setups, and deployment of forces. Over 10,000 people are likely to attend the event. The number of devotees may go into millions on the day of the consecration ceremony.
On Friday, a delegation representing the Ram Temple Trust formally invited President Murmu to attend the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.
The delegation included Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) working president Alok Kumar, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Ram Lal, and Ram temple construction committee chairperson Nripendra Mishra.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi began the special 11-day religious exercise on Friday, as he spoke about experiencing feelings like never before in his life. The Prime Minister stated that God has chosen him as an instrument to represent all Indians during the "Pran Pratishtha" exercise and that he is undertaking the 11-day religious exercise keeping this in mind.
Lord Ram had chosen his devotee (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) to rebuild his temple, Bharatiya Janata Party stalwart L K Advani has said in an article to be published in a special edition of the 'Rashtra Dharma' magazine next week. Advani's statement comes days ahead of the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
In his article to be published in a special edition of the 76-year-old Hindi magazine 'Rashtra Dharma' on January 16, Advani noted that current PM Modi was with him throughout the Rath Yatra, news agency PTI reported, citing sources. "He was not very famous then. But at that very time, Lord Ram had chosen his devotee (Modi) to rebuild his temple," the BJP veteran said in his article, PTI reported, citing a source.
"At that time, I felt that destiny had decided that one day a grand temple of Shri Ram would definitely be built in Ayodhya," the PTI source quoted Advani as saying. He further stated, "Well, now it's only a matter of time."
Meanwhile, all four Shankaracharyas, who preside over the major Hindu shrines known as 'peeths', have decided to not attend the inauguration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22. The Shankaracharyas lead the shrines located in Joshimath (Uttarakhand), Dwarka (Gujarat), Puri (Odisha), and Sringeri (Karnataka), all established by the eighth-century religious scholar Adi Shankaracharya.
